I took a much needed day off of work – everything work related. Full-time + freelancing is no joke. Decided to trek over to the Anaheim Packing District to see what this local instafamous place is all about. It’s a foodie hipster’s paradise. Seriously though, I got iPhone-happy and started snapping away. If you follow me on Instagram, you know what I’m talking about.
It’s been extremely hot in SoCal these days so I strayed away from my all black errthang and went for an all-white ensemble. Luckily, I didn’t spill any of that delicious braised beef poutine from The Kroft on me.
I’ve been wanting to share this recipe for quite some time and I finally got around to it. This green smoothie somewhat reminds me of a piña colada because of the added coconut oil. I used Jacinto Kale for this recipe but you can go ahead and use kale of your preference. So let’s get right to the recipe!
- 2 leaves of kale
- 1/2 cup of frozen mango
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1-2 cups of coconut water (depending on your blender)
- 1 tbsp virgin coconut oil
- Blend together kale, coconut water and coconut oil
- Add in the frozen fruits and blend until smooth

I was in Temecula for my cousin’s Air Force commissioning ceremony and despite the wind, I managed to get some photos in without realizing that I was twinsies with the background. Anyways, this dress has been a favorite lately. The silhouette is perfect for hot weather and food babies. I thought wearing the circle sunglasses was fitting for the 70’s inspired dress.

If you follow me on Instagram, you might’ve seen a few of these photos already. However, I thought that I should share a few more with you! Christian and I were able to work with an amazing photographer – Brian LaBrada. Not only are his photos beautiful, but he was a great photographer to work with. We were a bit awkward at first but Brian and Jen (his assistant/girlfriend) made us feel more comfortable. They were so much fun to work with and they knew how to make us laugh and be ourselves in front of the camera. Go and check out his work!
